Boktor Motors is Vegas Born, and Vegas Strong! This story is unique and true. My father was well-known and respected in the car world, and I grew up watching him closely. I always loved being around cars and the people you meet. On my 18th birthday, rather than going out and celebrating, I went to the local DMV office and received my salesperson license in Los Angeles, CA. I began working with my father that same day. I enjoyed working with my father, but he felt it was better for me to explore the world and encouraged me to join the US Airforce. A few weeks later, I woke up in boot camp, confused about how I had gotten there. I was trained in Reconnaissance and Military Intelligence, stationed in Texas. A short time later, in 2008, I was transferred to Las Vegas, NV. And transitioned into aerial operations and became a Pilot. I completed 13 combat deployments to various hostile countries during my time-based in Las Vegas. During these deployments, I would find cars online, have one of my brothers check them out, and often, I’d sell the car on the very next deployment, knowing I didn’t need a vehicle.
In 2016, I transitioned to the Nevada Air National Guard and stopped deploying. It was a tough adjustment, and my older brother encouraged me to pursue the car business as a hobby. He said, “It’s so easy to buy exotic cars and flip them in Vegas”. Well he was wrong, but I needed something to occupy my time. I got my dealer's license, found a small location, and in 2016, I created “High Line Autos” in Las Vegas. I stuck to my brother's plan and only bought 1 car at a time; I enjoyed them, drove them, and sold them. Fast forward 1 year, and I had repeat customers, plus working on 2 different military bases (Nellis and Creech) exposed me to a lot of people who wanted or needed a car.
In 2017, I outgrew my location and my name. I was no longer selling 1 car per month nor working alone. I called my cousin Brant in Los Angeles and asked him for advice. Brant owns Boktor Motors in Los Angeles and has insight and wisdom to share. Brant pushed me to grow and help those who needed help. He also encouraged me to change my name from High Line Autos to Boktor Motors, because the nature of the beast had changed. I was no longer focusing just on exotics, and we were now a household family name.
In 2018, Brant put up the cash I needed to move into a larger location. Within one year, we outgrew the location. The city came by about once a month to complain we had too many cars, but it didn’t stop us. They also frequently gave us fines, but that didn’t stop us. There is a car dealer on every corner, differentiating one from the other. What makes us successful? It’s simple, actually, communication. We take the
time to educate our customers and explain the differences. We were located on a very small street in an older neighborhood behind a casino; we would be impossible to find without smartphones and navigation, yet we still outperformed the other dealers. Location helps, but the people you trust and work with make a real difference.
In 2020, During the pandemic, most, if not all, auto dealers closed, except us. We didn’t close our doors once. We provide auto sales and complete auto repair, so we needed to stay readily available for those who needed help during such an unknown and scary time. Our numbers skyrocketed, and we realized we had no choice but to finally move into a larger location that could support the demands and needs of our customers.
In 2021, We purchased 1 acre of prime real estate near the famous Las Vegas Strip, on Tropicana, where people can actually find us without GPS… The property was formerly known as “Pinball Hall of Fame”. We opened in November of 2021 and as of July 2022, we have already outgrown our new location. The journey continues…
Update: March 2023
6 months after moving into the Pin Ball Hall of Fame, we ended up outgrowing the location. We opened a second location on Sunset just to store vehicles and rented a storage yard a few miles down the road. Customers hated not having the car here at our main location, so I began speaking to the property owner next door to us. He told me he would never sell me the property. So, I asked my mother to pray, and I kept bugging him, a few months later he told me he was in escrow with a fast-food company, and it simply wasn’t going to happen. A few months after that (and lots of my mother’s prayers), we found out for some unknown reason the fast-food company was not ready to purchase the land and wanted more time. The owner called me, we came to an agreement for the land next door and boom.
In February 2023, we officially closed escrow and doubled our land by purchasing an entire Acre just next door to us.
During escrow, my fantasy was to buy golf carts so people could have fun driving back and forth between the two properties. While researching, I came across a company called Kandi that grabbed my attention. On March 1st, 2023, we signed a contract with Kandi and became the first and only licensed Kandi Golf Cart dealer/service center in Las Vegas, NV.
Below are photos documenting the changes we have gone through as we have grown.
In November 2024, we outgrew our current facility and moved our sales department into a 20 thousand square foot building, dedicating our current 10 thousand squarefoot building just to service and aftermarket upgrades
