Boktor Motors is Vegas Born, and Vegas Strong! My father was well known and respected in the car world, and I grew up watching him closely. I always loved being around cars, and the people you get to meet. On my 18th birthday, rather than going out and celebrating, I went to the local DMV office and received my salesperson license in Los Angeles, Ca. I began working with my father that same day. I enjoyed working with my father, but he felt it was better for me to explore the world, and encouraged me to join the US Air Force. A few weeks later I woke up in boot camp confused with how I got there. I was trained in Reconnaissance and Military Intelligence, stationed in Texas. A short time later in 2008 I was transferred to Las Vegas, Nv. And transitioned into aerial operations and became a Pilot. I completed 13 combat deployments to various hostile countries during my career. During these deployments, with any down time I had, I would find cars online, have one of my brothers check them out, and oftentimes I’d sell the car on the very next deployment knowing I didn’t need a vehicle to begin with.
In 2016 I transitioned to the Nevada Air National Guard and stopped deploying. It was a tough adjustment and my older brother encouraged me to get into the car business as a hobby. He said “it’s so easy to buy exotic cars and flip them in Vegas”. Well he was wrong, but I needed something to occupy my time. I got my dealers license, found a small location, and in 2016 I created “High Line Autos” in Las Vegas. I stuck to my brother's plan, and only bought 1 car at a time (rarely was it a good deal); but I enjoyed them, I drove them, then I sold them. Fast forward 1 year, and I had repeat customers, plus working on 2 different military bases (Nellis and Creech) exposed me to a lot of people that wanted or needed a car.
In 2017 I outgrew my location, and my name. I was no longer selling 1 car per month nor working alone. I called my cousin Brant in Los Angeles, and asked him for advice. Brant owns Boktor Motors in Los Angeles, and had insight and wisdom to share. Brant pushed me into growing and helping those that needed help. He also encouraged me to change my name from High Line Autos to Boktor Motors, because the nature of the beast had changed. I was no longer focusing just on exotics, and we were now a household family name.
In 2018 Brant helped me put up the cash I needed to move into a larger location. Within one year we outgrew that location. The city came by about once a month to complain we had too many cars, but it didn’t stop us. They also gave us fines frequently, but that didn’t stop us either. There is a car dealer on every corner, what differentiates one from the other? What makes us successful? It’s simple actually, communication. We take the time to educate our customers and explain the differences. We were located on a very small street in an older neighborhood behind a casino, we would be impossible to find without smartphones, yet we still outperformed other dealers. Location helps, but the people you choose to trust and work with make the real difference.
In 2020 During the pandemic most if not all auto dealers closed, but we never closed our doors once. We not only provide auto sales, but complete auto repair, so it was important that we stayed readily available for those that needed help during such an unknown and scary time. Our numbers skyrocketed, and we realized we had no choice at this point but to finally move into a larger location that can support the demands and needs of our customers.
In 2021 We purchased 1 acre of prime real estate near the famous Las Vegas Strip, on Tropicana, where people can actually find us without GPS… The property was formerly known as the “PinBall Hall of Fame”. We opened in November of 2021 and as of May 2022, we had already outgrown our new location.
March 2023
6 months after moving into the PinBall Hall of Fame, we ended up out-growing the location. We opened a second location on Sunset just to store vehicles and rented a storage yard a few miles down the road. Customers hated not having the car here at our main location, so I began speaking to the owner of the property next door to us. He told me he would never sell me the property. So, I asked my mother to pray, and I kept bugging him. A few months later he told me he was in escrow with a fast-food company, and it simply wasn’t going to happen. A few months after that (and lots of my mother’s prayers), we found out for some unknown reason the fast-food company was not ready to purchase the land and wanted more time. The owner called me, we came to an agreement for the land next door and boom. In February 2023 we officially closed escrow and doubled our footprint.
During escrow we would joke about needing golf carts to move people around the property, so we started to do homework. While researching, I came across a company called Kandi that really grabbed my attention. On March 1st 2023 we signed a contract with Kandi, and became the first and only licensed Kandi Golf Cart dealer/service center in Las Vegas, Nv.
November 2024
Our business has been blessed and we have continued to steadily grow. In November 2024 we moved our sales department across the street to 2169 E Tropicana. This allowed our old primary location to transition to only Service/Repair and Custom Upgrades. By making the move, the sales department was given 2 more acres of land to store cars, and we got a 20 thousand square foot showroom from the move as well.
Below are some photos documenting the changes we have gone through as we have grown.
